Children's Ministry
|
Our Children's ministry is founded on two very important chapters in the Bible. Matthew chapters 22 and 28; in these two chapters we find the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.
The Great Commandment says: " 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments." Matthew 22:36-40 (NLT)
The Great Commission says: "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands that I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20 (NLT)
From these verses we have developed our Statement of Purpose which is:
Love the Lord your God
Love your neighbor
Go make followers
Teach them to obey |
